Updating your contact information with your Medicaid plan

By Aetna

Like, can I see my doctor when I don't feel well?

Mm-hmm.

My mom makes sure that I go to the coolest doctor.

Last time I saw him...I got this car.

Mm-hmm.

Vroom!

Vroom! Vroom!

8-year-olds, am I right?

After I signed up for Medicaid, I forgot to tell Aetna Better Health that we had just moved.

They didn't have our new address, so we didn't get important health plan notices in the mail.

Thankfully, they had my phone number and called me, so I was able to give them my new address.

Here's the thing. If you don't, you could be missing out on important information. Aetna Better Health had been trying to send me information about what vaccines Mateo should be getting before going back to school and what I need to do to stay eligible for Medicaid next year. But I wasn't getting anything in the mail.

That's why it's so important to let your health plan know if you move or if you get a new phone number.

It's super easy, even with kiddos running around. You can do it online, in the For Members section of your state's aetnabetterhealth.com website, or call the member service number on the back of your member ID card. They'll update your contact info, including your emergency contact and make everything is up to date.

You have any questions, they can answer them, too.

If you move, change phone numbers, or get a new email, it is important to let us know so we can make sure everything is up to date. You can do it online on your state’s website or you can call the member services number on the back your member ID card.
