You can feel confident at any in-network pharmacy. There are no copays or deductibles within our preferred drug list. With prior approval, you can still get non-preferred medicine. Aetna's Medicaid Plan may also approve some out-of-pocket drug expenses for reimbursement. |

Understand and use your benefits
Using your Aetna Better Health of Illinois benefits and services is easy. You’ll have access to things like preventive care, emergency care, pregnancy-related services, nursing home care and more. All you need to do is bring your Aetna Better Health ID card, a photo ID and your HealthChoice Illinois Benefits Identification Card (BIC) to your appointment. Here are some pages that will help you understand and keep your benefits:
Find providers and pharmacies
Get quality care and services close to home. We have a strong network of providers and pharmacies to choose from. And there are many ways to search for one.
If you’re already seeing a doctor outside our network for treatment, you may be able to continue for 90 days, or longer in some cases. Learn more about our transition-of-care program.

Get help in an emergency

When you log in or create an account for our Member Portal, you unlock the ability to do so much more with your health plan. You deserve to live a happy, healthy life. And we can help. MyActiveHealth is a health assessment tool that makes it easy to take charge of your health. You can access this free feature by signing in to the Member Portal. Next, select "Tasks” and choose “Manage My Health.”
From there, you’ll be able to find:

You can keep track of your medical history and get healthy living tips based on your survey answers.
Videos and podcasts
Learn more about health, your health plan and other wellness topics.
Healthy lifestyle programs
They can help you meet all your goals, like quitting smoking, eating healthy, managing stress and more.
