Continuing care
Continuing care
Let us know right away if you’re getting services that will need to be continued. Some providers and specialists providing an ongoing course of treatment can continue to give you care until a qualified network provider is available.
We may connect you with a network provider during the transition period if:
You’re assigned to a facility that can appropriately serve your needs
You complete a necessary health screening and assessment
A contractor determines that the new facility is accessible and can meet your needs
A transition-of-care plan is in place and you agree to the transition before the end of the transition period
Authorized services
We’ll honor authorized services for the first 90 days of your enrollment. If you’re pregnant, we’ll honor them until the end of your pregnancy. After that time, you may need prior authorization to keep getting services. You can stay with an out-of-network provider for up to 90 days or longer, in some cases.
