Dental benefits

A healthy smile is linked to a healthy body. So it's important to see your dentist every six months (or more often if your dentist recommends it). Comprehensive dental care is a benefit when you join Aetna Better Health® of New Jersey. Just be sure to show your member ID card at every visit.

We work with LIBERTY Dental Plan to provide you with dental and oral health care. You don’t need a referral to see a dentist or dental specialist in the network. Just call your dentist. Dental offices are the most appropriate place to handle dental emergencies. This helps keep emergency rooms clear for medical emergencies. Only use the emergency room if your situation is severe, like these examples:

  • A fracture (bone break)
  • A dislocated jaw
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
