Tell us what you think
Tell us what you think
Your opinion matters. Every year, we host meetings to talk about what is working for us and what needs improvement. We’d love to have you attend. Join us and tell us what you think.
Member Advisory Group (MAG)
Plan members and staff join to form the MAG. Together, we come up with ways to improve policies. And we go over topics such as ways to:
- Improve medical care and our outreach plans
- Improve member materials
- Improve communication and care for members who speak a primary language other than English
- Improve telephone services
- Help members use the emergency room and get to health care visits
The MAG meets every three months, so we can continue to improve our service. As a plan member, you’re welcome to attend. Taking part helps you and other plan members. We have MAGs for:
- Medicaid STAR and CHIP
- STAR Kids
Member Advisory Group meetings (STAR and STAR Kids)
We schedule Member Advisory Group (MAG) meetings quarterly. All members are welcome to attend.
Just fill out the contact us form. Answer “Yes” to the question, “Are you an Aetna Better Health of Texas member?” Then, in the comments, note that you want to join the STAR MAG or STAR Kids MAG. Or call the number on the back of your member ID card to tell us you’d like to join.
Promote health in your community
Promote health in your community
Are you someone who cares about the health of those in your community? If yes, you can now help people get the health care and services they need.
Community Health Worker (CHW)
A CHW is a certified, non-medical frontline health worker. They help connect people and communities to health care and social service providers. As a CHW, you’ll work to increase health education by:
- Connecting people to health services and resources
- Offering informal counseling or social support
- Explaining or translating health info
- Planning classes and events
Sometimes CHWs are paid. Other times, they are volunteers. Visit the Texas Health and Human Services (HHS) page to learn more about the CHW program.
