You can earn rewards for completing preventive care. This is the best way to keep you and your family healthy. Everyone needs regular checkups and health screenings. They can give you peace of mind that you’re as healthy as you feel. They can also help your provider find any health problems early, when they’re easier to treat.
There is no extra cost for preventive care. Better yet, we reward you for taking steps to be healthier. Our goal is to help you achieve your health goals and live a healthy life.
Earn gift cards
You can earn gift cards for each healthy step you complete. So it really does pay to check on your health.
Texas Health Steps (well-child checkups)
- A $50 gift card: Complete all wellness checkups (ages 2 weeks, 2 months, 4 months and 6 months).
- A $25 gift card: Complete your wellness checkup (age 9 months).
- A $25 gift card: Complete your wellness checkup (age 12 months).
- A $25 gift card: Complete your wellness checkup (age 15 months).
- A $25 gift card: Complete your wellness checkup (ages 18 months and 30 months).
- A $25 gift card: Complete your wellness checkup (ages 3–20 years).
Pregnancy and birth care
- A $25 gift card and pregnancy handbook (new members): Enroll in care management within 30 days of becoming an Aetna Better Health® member.
- A $25 gift card and pregnancy handbook (current members): Enroll in care management within 30 days of finding out you’re pregnant.
- $50 worth of baby supplies (diapers, wipes and other items): Complete first three prenatal visits.
- $50 worth of baby supplies (diapers, wipes and other items): Complete three more prenatal visits (six total) and one postpartum care visit after your baby’s birth.
Behavioral health care
A $25 gift card: Complete a follow-up visit with your behavioral health provider within seven days of your first visit.

No, you don’t need to sign up for rewards. You can start earning anytime.
